Josh Tueta and Eric McAlister have agreed to return for the 2022 season with Rip City. Josh, now in his sixth season with the club, adds size and experience to the front court. Josh has been an important piece to the success Rip City has experienced since his arrival in 2017.

Eric returns for his third season with the club. Both Josh and Eric will provide the team with size and versatility. Both provide a good presence around the rim, rebounding and scoring efficiently, while also being able to stretch the floor and shoot from beyond the arc.

As versatile defenders, they will give Coach Arousi flexibility on the defensive end of the floor as well. “I am really excited to be back at Rip and build on what we started last year. These guys are family to me and to be able to compete with them is special.” Eric said.

“I think with the team we are putting together we will be able to really push what we built on last year. A championship is what we have talked about and we all look forward to trying to make that a reality.”

USC’s NBL1 season starts in April with the first six rounds on the road due to Suncorp Super Netball but Rip City’s run home will be mostly at home.

Rip City are looking forward to the first home game on the 11th June vs Southern District Spartans. The finals will be played in August-September after a 15-round regular season.
