Our New Partner! + Continued Social Distancing 27/04/20

All programs remain suspended due to COVID-19.

We hope everyone is keeping well while practicing social distancing.  We hope members are enjoying and finding the material we are posting on Facebook useful.  We just posted a great video clip of Dylan Candappa hitting three half-court shots in a row doing his social distancing training. If you have any clips of your skills development or some great resources you would like to share please email them through and we will post them on the Rip City Facebook page.

At this stage, we have no new updates on the likely return of club and junior representative programs.  Current advice from USC Sports is they expect the stadium to closed for user groups through to mid-June or until government restrictions are eased and will provide further updates in late May. The Rip City Committee is preparing different scenarios to get back on the court as soon as we can post COVID-19.  As we get details on possible return dates we will communicate plans.

During this break, USC Rip City Basketball is excited to start a partnership with Play for Purpose Sport and Charity Raffle.  This is a national raffle program that delivers fundraising proceeds directly back to our club for specific initiatives.  For this first raffle, we are raising funds towards the expansion of the Rip City Girls Got Game program to offer elite training, leadership development, and mentor-ship programs for our junior female members. Head to the site today to get you ticket for a chance at great prizes including the first prize of $250,000 of gold!  At least $5 for every ticket sold comes directly to the club for the Girls Got Game program.

It remains unclear what will happen with the remainder of the BQJBC seasons so we are not in a position to estimate any rebates in fees that may result. For those still contributing to their fees through direct debit and are not in a financial position to continue those regular payments please email accounts and we will cancel the direct debit and transfer any balance owing to an invoice we can come back to after the COVID-19 situation once things have settled.
