The USC Rip City men have locked away a finals spot for the 2022 NBL1 North Season.

With one win this weekend, they can lock in a home quarterfinal game, as well, potentially locking in the number two spot.

The men ran into a hot Ipswich Force on Saturday night.

This game was a tale of two halves, with the men owning the first but Ipswich answering with a huge punch in the second half.

Majoke Deng and Henry Pwono led the way with 21 and 19 points respectively, while Isaac White finished with 16. Eric McAlister led the scoring for the men with 16 points while Isaih Tueta added 15.

The men bounced back in good form with a 21 point win on Sunday over the Townsville Heat.

Kouat Noi bounced back with a huge performance, scoring 32 points and grabbing 13 rebounds while junior Kai Bloom continues his outstanding play, finishing with 13 points off the

bench.

The men will look ahead to the weekend where both teams they face are fighting for a final spot in this years finals. On Saturday night the men will clash with rival Phoenix.

Jamaal Robateau has been firing lately after a slow start and comes in leading the scoring for Phoenix at 20 points per game.

Mason Bragg has continued to drive the Phoenix in the absence of Darnell Robateau, averaging just under 16 points per game and 6 assists per game.

The men will look to avenge their earlier season loss and up the defence and physicality as they vie for a home final.

On Sunday the men will face off with the Northside Wizards in what should be an exciting and high level game.

The Wizards boast a starting lineup of NBL talent, with all five players having NBL experience.

Anthony Drmic has been on fire since his return to the lineup and is averaging 27 points on the season.

Lual Diing comes in averaging 19, Mitch McCarron adding 16 points and 7 assists while Keanu Pinder adds 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The men will need to prove their defensive worth and be locked in as they get ready for what is sure to be an exciting game.

You can catch the USC Rip City men at USC Stadium or on the NBL1 livestream on Saturday

at 7:30pm and on Sunday at 3:00pm.
