University of Sunshine Coast Rip City star Tanner Krebs says the team is focused on winning the inaugural NBL1 North title.
The fifth-seed in the eight-team finals series, after recent Covid-19 lockdowns shorte
ned the regular season, will face Gold Coast Rollers in a knockout quarter-final at Carrara Stadium at 7pm on Saturday (August 28).
“The team is on the same page on what we want to do,” Krebs said. “Our goal is to win it all and we are going to put our best foot forward in order to achieve that.”
It will be the first meeting between USC (7-6 win-loss record) and the fourth-seed Gold Coast (8-4).
But while the teams didn’t meet in the regular season, Krebs knows the Rollers star Jason Cadee all too well. The NBL Brisbane Bullets teammates sit fifth and sixth respectively in the NBL1 North leading scorers.
Krebs, who averaged 25.4 points per game from 10 games, had four 30-plus point games. Cadee, who averaged 24 points per game from six games, had two 30-plus point games.
