The USC Rip City women will look to secure their third win of the season against Sunshine Coast rival, Phoenix. Coming off the scheduled bye week, the Rip women will have regrouped from the first stage of the season with their focus on making a run towards finals contention starting with a win over the Phoenix.

The Phoenix women come in with a slow start to the season with a record of just 1-9. Boasting a balanced offensive attack led by Caitlin Clancy’s 13.6 points per game, followed by Amy Browne at 13.2 and Nicola Handreck at 13.1.

Offensive output for the Phoenix has been a weak point for them thus far in the season, only averaging 65 points per game as a team through the first ten contests.

The Rip City women will look to exploit the mismatches on the weekend as they look to impose their will with their size and aggression, similar to the northern road trip.

The women will also look to use this game as an opportunity defensively, as they continue to find rhythm on that end of the floor as they move forward into the rest of the season.
