Slew of Young Talent Added to Men’s Roster

Coach Arousi announced the additions of Cooper Sparksman, Ronnie Twidale, Tom Cordwell, Kai Bloom, Callum Parsons and Khobie De Haan.

for the 2022 NBL1 North Season.


Sparksman, a Rip City junior, will provide depth at the point guard position, bringing quickness and a scoring punch to the squad.


Cordwell, a Rip City junior, with the ability to work both ends of the floor along with bringing scoring punch to the squad.


Bloom, a Rip City junior, after an injury filled year will provide depth in the rotation. Blooms ability to play in multiple positions is an asset to the team.


Twidale, also a Rip City junior, bring more scoring to the back court this season.


New-comer Khobie De Haan signs on with the club after a prolific junior career, representing

Queensland and performing well for various clubs in South East Queensland. Khobie will bring

high energy and elite athleticism to the squad this season.


It is an exciting time for the club as young talent continues to contribute to the program.


All six have had productive stints with the QSL squads in the past and are exciting additions to

the 2022 NBL1 North season.


We look forward to watching our young talent continue to develop on and off the court!


USC’s NBL1 season starts in 30th April with the first six rounds on the road due to Suncorp Super Netball but Rip City’s run home will be mostly at home. Rip City are looking forward to the first home game on the 11th June vs Southern District Spartans. The finals will be played in August-September after a 15-round regular season.
